Channeled Lessons in Psychic Development 10: Energizing the Channel of Communication

Some of you who have been actively engaged in developing your psychic senses over a longer period of time may have noticed that your openness to energy and spirit can ebb and flow. Often, when people first open up, there will be a flurry of activity, followed by a bit of a plateau, and then, seemingly, a quieting down, until another wave of growth and progress pushes them to the next level.

Sometimes, when our abilities go into a latent period, we can get worried that they will never come back. Luckily, this is rarely the case. We have merely set ourselves a new psychic baseline, and our energetic systems are taking a moment to rebalance themselves, so that we can continue to evolve when we are ready. I myself experienced a huge wave of development last fall, and am currently in a quieter phase. I recently asked Natalie about how I could reactivate myself back into a psychic “growth spurt.” Here is what she said:

“Try sending out to spirit a great desire to move the energy of information. It’s easy to seek to open up the communication, and know things that are true and verifiable. Consider, however, how you feel about predicting the future accurately. Relax! It’s not that important. Be careful not to become too dependent on validation.  Keep your communication with your guides open. Have confidence in your progress and stay open to new ways of working, as well as to new information on how to get better. Make a conscious effort to improve and develop your gift.”

In the following session, Salvador chimed in with this:

“Every positive expectation guides you to improve. Your openness may be clouded from time to time, but keep learning. Don’t feel inadequate while you are in the process of mastering your gift. (…) We are here. Say hello! Feel how easy it is for you to connect with us.”

The first thing that Natalie said really struck a chord with me. “Try sending out to spirit a great desire to move the energy of information.“ I have since started to think of the psychic connection with Spirit as a literal channel of light and energy extending up from the crown chakra. When I begin my sessions, at the end of my opening meditations (outlined in previous lessons), before inviting the guides to come close, I now consciously send energy up into my crown chakra and above, extending it out as far as I can. The physical sensation of this, for me, is a strong tingling in the scalp, similar to how I often feel the presence of Spirit when doing evidential mediumistic readings.  As I do this, I verbally ask for the channel to be opened, energized and activated to move as much information from Spirit as I can handle, while raising my vibration through love, trust, gratitude and excitement. The shift in energy is palpable.

There are a couple of other useful points Salvador and Natalie are making here. One is of self-confidence, perseverance, and trust. Trust that your guides are there, even if you’re struggling to hear them. Keep chipping away at progress, even when it slows down. Evidence is a good thing to be able to deliver in readings, but if your ego becomes dependent on it to trust itself, you can get bogged down. Engage your guides without worrying about always getting things perfectly right. Keep a relaxed attitude about it. Your commitment to openness, communication, learning and service - as well as your genuine affection for Spirit - is what will allow you to grow in the long term.
