“Tired Blessings:” An Example of A New Shorthand Phrase, and Its Implications
A quick note today. I’ve mentioned before that my spirit guides often communicate with me in a coded language I call “spiritual shorthand,” and that it is an evolving system of packaging larger bodies of information into energetically efficient units. (As mediumship is a pursuit that takes a lot of energy on both ends of the equation, efficient communication is a valuable asset!) In addition to condensing practical information and triggering claircognizance, the internal logic of the coded wording often teaches me to think of the concepts it conveys in new ways, offering added insight. (This is why I love this system so much!) Here is an example of a new one. My spirit guides have lately started using the shorthand phrase, “tired blessings.” Loosely translated, this phrase is shorthand for “This is a situation that was once joyful, inspiring and exciting, but has now lost momentum or energy. It has therefore been stagnating, and is no longer bringing the same joy it used to, despite your best efforts. We know you have been frustrated with this.” (Luckily, they usually use this when they are giving me a heads up that the “tired blessings” are about to be reinvigorated!)
The fact that “tired blessings” is how they choose to word this concept has taught me to think about disappointment and frustration in a new way. A “tired” blessing is still a blessing, and sometimes, all it needs to build up some steam again is a little rest. This thought gives me the confidence to trust the future enough to be patient, walk away, and not fret over the hiatus. Not always being the most patient or relaxed person by nature, this has been a great lesson for me!
Spiritual shorthand is full of these kinds of “Easter Eggs,” many of which are pieces of a larger puzzle or network of ideas that together, convey an entire philosophy that is extremely uplifting. (Here is another example.) Perhaps I’ll start a series here in which I unpack the expressions they use, and really delve into the inner logic and concepts contained therein. Dear readers, would you like that?
